Lunch

Tomatoes in the garden are finally ripening.  It's SUMMER! Couldn't resist drawing those lovely plump curves. Took it as an opportunity to play around with some watercolor pencils I have too. I've had them for a really long time and just never really gotten the hang of using them. I think I might try messing with them some more.

Done with watercolor, ink brush pen, watercolor pencils, and salivation (that basil smells YUMMY!)

  1. You make that tomato look...cute. Got my first tomato today, maybe a doodle before it's food will do.

  2. It's fun to paint something different once in a while, but especially when it is documenting an awesome item like this. I love fresh tomatoes. Nothing like the fresh tomato smell of when one first gets picked. Nothing like the feeling of pride when you pick something fresh that you grew yourself. Its a miracle to plant a tiny little seed and from that a beautiful aromatic edible comes from it. Congrats. That tomato looks delicious and so does the painting. God Bless and Shine Brightly. ..... That bread looks delicious also.. what kind is it??? just curious. I'm hungry now. :)

    1. Oh yes! Very satisfying! And the bread is a ciabatta. And it was very tasty. :)

  3. Your lunch looks wonderful. Fresh from the garden fruits and vegetables always seem more vibrant and sweet. I can see why you would want to capture that on paper before eating them.
